$300 Million

That is what we paid to elect some assholes. Seriously, this election shouldn't have happened and yet it did, and not much has changed except for the Liberal party losing seats. Good for them, I have never felt an ounce of support for them in my teenage to adult years anyhow. Dion will be gone, this is my prediction. But the 2 most obvious choices to replace him might have some competition as I've read scarce reports or hearsay that Dalton McGuinty would be the best choice to replace Dion. Are you kidding me? Now Dion was part of the glory days of the Chretien and Martin era, those old days are now gone and it is time for some fresh, less stinking faces and it seems, in liberal circles, that Dalton is the best choice.

...

I hope this is all just hearsay as being from Ontario, I have put up with this douche for too long now. He might not have any baggage as far as federal politics go, but this guy can't even keep a promise that he signed on paper. He is far from being "clean" and I think if he were to ever run for the federal leadership, it would be a huge mistake. Ontario is becoming a havenot province and with manufacturing plants closing left and right, people will remember that he was Premier during this. Of course he has a failsafe in his fairness campaign and passing the buck to Harper makes McGuinty look innocent. Hopefully this rumor will never come true.

Bob Rae is another bad choice. It is sad to say that when he was Premier of Ontario, I once respected him, but he blew it. Actually the unions turned on him, and are more to blame. But he's a turncoat and I can't respect that.

Michael Ignatieff is someone I have not bothered to research as he left the country for some 30 years or so. I don't know much more than that.

Hell, why am I even spending so much time on the Liberals? Enough of that....

This election, I voted Green *gasp*. It was a last minute decision really. It was either Brian Masse, the incumbent NDP or John Esposito, newbie Green candidate. THE NDP, specifically Jack Layton pissed me off with the whole debate fiasco and I swore up and down I was done with the NDP,and I cast my vote elsewhere. I'm torn between the Greens and the NDP, and in all honesty, I think they should merge. It seems a logical choice and I know I am not the only one who believes this. The Greens just can't cut it, especially when their leader runs in a family owned riding. I know May was taking on the "Giant" to prove a point but sometimes you just got to face facts. She could have won a more safer riding in Ontario but took the more difficult route.

All in all, this election will result in more of the same, and that makes me sad. I'm sick of this neverending Liberal/Conservative cycle and was hoping the Greens would get at least one seat. Time for some fresh faces and ideas in the government, but reality says that Canadians are content with the same old same old. Oh well, at least it only cost us $300 million to have basically the same government.

McGuinty chimes in and says he has no plans of replacing Dion.

Can we really believe him though?
