Canadians make stem cell breakthrough

CTV.ca News Staff

Canadian researchers have found what could be a new way to make embryonic-like stem cells, a discovery that could lead to cures for devastating conditions such as spinal cord injury and Parkinson's disease.

Awesome news and the fact that it's Canadians makes it even better. Lets hope they continue to refine this procedure as there are literally millions of people who could possibly benefit from this, including me.

...

Personally this astounds me and brings me hope one day to possibly "cure" my pellucid marginal degeneration, a degenerative cornea disease for which there is currently no treatment. I believe that the government should be inserting more money into this type of research as it is the way of the future in my opinion.
