Flag Flop

Even during these harsh economic times, the Dalton McGuinty government still manages to slap the Canadian workers in the face by making a deal to purchase Ontario flags that are made in China. If this isn't further evidence to support my claim that he is a terrible Premier then stay tuned because in a short while I am sure that he will once again do something incredibly stupid.

Follow up:

How can a government outsource something that is supposed to represent it's very own province?

"It's pathetic, it's rude and insulting,"

said the always outspoken NDP MPP Peter Kormos.

"This just boggles the mind. I can't give this flag away in the riding of Welland where so many workers have lost their jobs."

And I wholeheartedly agree. This is not only a big fuck you to the workers of Ontario but to Canadians as a whole and it infuriates me. It is rather disgusting that someone who was elected to lead this province through thick and thin has the balls to outsource while people are losing their jobs daily. Fuck you Dalton you scummy fucker.

Are you kidding me, I just once want to leave my house on a shopping day and buy one thing made in Canada, my grandparents came to this country to "BUILD" it not to factor it out to countries around the world to fuel it. We have a multitued of nationalities in this country that came with skills and it would behouve the government of Ontario and Canada to utilize them to there fullest before selling out to the "LOWEST" bider". The immigrants in this country are in need of jobs never mind the grand children of immigrants and yet our governments believe that it is appropriate to continually farm jobs out to foriegn countries to provide OUR country with staples, even our FLAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!! please lets regroup and remember OUR HOME NATIVE LAND!!!!!!!!!!!

It's sad we can't even make our own patriotic textiles now and have our government support those workers. I didn't know where to buy a SK flag years ago, and found them in a "100% Canadian owned" store, Peavy Mart. They were Chinese made I think, but Walmart didn't even have SK flags in stock (or had perhaps sold out?)!
