Gilles Duceppe Prefers a Coalition
Duceppe says his party is ready for an election, or a coalition, but he prefers the coalition and thinks it is the better option to help us through the current economic situation.
We have to get prepared for an election if an election happens
said Duceppe reminding everyone that he is the leader of a party that will never have any real power, hence the preference for a coalition government; kind of like Jack Layton.
...
With the Conservative government poised to release its budget in a matter of weeks, talk of the coalition will once again pick up, probably to the levels it was at before Christmas and the fighting going on in Palestine. Which is fine because lately all we've been hearing about is Obama or Israel and seeing the idiots fighting in parliament will once again bring a smile to my face. That is of course if Harper decides to be an ass and play games with them, as the left seems to think he will. But then again, it was the left that was saying they wouldn't support the budget no matter if it was actually of value or not. Games games, oh I can't wait.
Actually, Duceppe said that he would support the budget if it responds to the needs of Quebec but like the lefties, he doubts it will.
He said it
should at least offer a plan to help the forestry and manufacturing sectors and also include measures to support those affected by the current economic situation, especially the unemployed.
So the key player in this whole shebang has some doubts and I am sure that many others do as well. I do, kind of, I mean can Harper actually get things right without pissing the others off, or are they just out to get him now no matter what he does? I don't think Harper is that dumb to want to piss them off as they clearly aren't playing games in that respect, after all, he is the master strategist, or so it is told.
So I say thank you to Gilles Duceppe for opening your mouth and saying stuff that doesn't come as a shock, it's better than the stuff thats been going on of late while you guys were on holiday though.
UPDATE
