Green Support

You know this country is whack when even the Greens tip their hat for the coalition. Don't get confused by the title on the Greens web site, they are in fact jumping on the coalition bandwagon, basically killing any credibility Elizabeth May had left. Being a leftist party (I know, some of em hate being labelled that)I guess it was no surprise that they would show their approval, but when you actually think about it, they are going against their own principals.

Follow up:

Unconditional Support

Unconditional support is a knee jerk reaction, and a dangerous one at that which may end up alienating many greenies. Traditionally, the green party holds very strong environmental ideology (duh)and supporting a massive economic stimulus package that would prop up the automotive, manufacturing, and forest sector would be counterproductive to their stated values. They also believe in consuming less, not more, and one would think they are also against artificial stimulation, but here they are supporting it. So there you have it folks, even the greens will flip flop just to seem relevant. What's the building of a few more roads, a few more cars, cutting down a few more trees? Apparently not much.

Phony

Yes, Elizabeth May is a phony, Harper called it during the campaign, and now she has proved it once more by endorsing the Liberals, NDP, and even the Bloc. She is just like every other politician, anything that comes her way, she's going to take it, no matter how much it will turn around and bite her in the ass. Justify this please, some of us are eager to hear your justification, or should I say, your fuddy duddy excuses. Apparently she hasn't learned her lesson and she to may be on the chopping block if this stuff explodes amongst her party.

Who wrote that headline. The meaning of the headline should not rest on one little period. Duh.

Elizabeth May wrote it and regardless of the period, the meaning is very clear.

It's a moment to put aside partisan gains. I'm not at all surprised May is in favour of the coalition. I'd be mad if she wasn't.

I am surprised, kind of, because it was only a few months ago she was begging Canadians to let her in the debate, and now she is supporting a cause that takes Canadians out of the fold. Regardless of it being a legal thing to do, is it the right thing to do? I for one wouldn't jump the gun and support others who want to jump the gun and toss money around without actually having a plan. Where is the plan, a 30 billion dollar announcement sounds great, but even Bob Rae is stuttering to come up with answers as to what exactly they will do.

Everyone is jumping without thinking about where they are going to land. They're hoping to land on their feet but may end up falling on their asses. 30 billion compared to 300 million is quite a difference. May should be supporting what they say they do, not flip flopping, even if it means no partisan.

I just think that we should wait for the budget and see what it has to offer. What is the rush, especially when its obvious the coalition doesn't even have the answers. And if they happen to get their chance, and things are worse then they think they are, where is that 30 billion going to come from?

..and what is also interesting is how May might just end up with a seat in the senate. Who says this isn't about political gains, or should I say games?
