Wow, what a finish to the 2010 Winter games. Take out the much hyped own the podium and we bested our previous medal record set in Turin by 2 medals. Way to go Canada. In what was a slow start to the games, Canada pulled through in the waning days, winning multiple golds, silvers and bronzes, finishing with a total of 26 medals. Although we didn't own the podium outright, our athletes sure as hell owned the podium for the most gold medals ever won by a host country as well as most golds ever won at the winter Olympics.

Welcome, News, Fun, On the web, Local, Ontario 05:03:24 pm, by zerodivision 1 feedback »With the buzzing of the Lycoming engines, Red Bull Air Race day was upon the city of Windsor. I awoke today to the sounds of a CF-18 roaring down the river front and rushed out the door to catch a glimpse of this awesome fighter jet doing a flyby over the riverfront, only to see it fly off into the distance never to return.../sad. But the glimpse I did catch was cool enough and with that I made up my mind that I would be headed down to the river front to watch the spectacular air races that were to take place. My father and I hopped into my car and headed downtown in an effort to find a parking pace, a futile effort at first glance but we eventually found a spot within a 5 minute walk from the river front down Caron avenue.
Olivia Chow's Website Hacked? No, It's Called Voting, Silly
News, Fun, In real life, On the web, Politics 03:59:00 pm, by zerodivision 4 feedbacks »NDP Olivia Chow has posted a press release on her site claiming that her site had been hacked during a recent poll asking if people rejected Harper’s economic plans. The poll showed a 60/40 yes-no split up until 11:30 PM last night when suddenly the numbers started to change when hundreds of votes for the "no" side began to occur. Apparently when the poll first was posted, it attracted an average of 10 votes per day, mostly in favour of Olivia's "yes" position, but at the time the results started to change, an average of 200-300 votes per hour where being noticed, all in favour of "no".
Harper, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
News, Fun, In real life, Movies 11:02:26 pm, by zerodivision Leave a comment.I realize I am chiming in late on this one but I was unable to blog earlier today. In case anyone hasn't heard yet(like who hasn't?), Harper has dodged a political bullet and has had the House officially shut down until the new year. No doubt Conservatives all across the country are jumping with joy while the Lib/NDP/Bloc fanboys and girls might feel like they have had the wind knocked out of them. It wasn't but a few days ago that the left was saying Merry Christmas and hoping that a nice new Dion would be tucked under their trees all nice and shiny like. For a whole day, that seemed possible, but then reality set in and Canadians started to wonder wtf was really going on and cast doubt at the possibility of having a coalition of losers run our country.
